How to get to Massa: train, car and airport
Massa is served by Massa Centro station on the Tyrrhenian line and is easy to reach by car via the A12 motorway: here's how to plan your trip.

Massa Centro station is on the Tyrrhenian line, with direct regional connections from Pisa, La Spezia and Genoa, as well as longer-distance trains stopping at nearby stations. From the station, the historic centre and the Malaspina fortress are a few minutes' walk away or a short local bus ride towards Marina di Massa.
By car, the main reference is the A12 Genoa-Livorno motorway, with a dedicated Massa exit: convenient both for those arriving from the north (Liguria) and from the south (Versilia, Pisa). The area is also a starting point for driving up to the mountain hamlets and marble quarries of the Apuan Alps.
Since Massa has no airport of its own, the most practical option for those flying in is Pisa airport, about an hour's drive south; Genoa airport is a good alternative for those coming from the north.
