How to get to Arezzo: train, car and airport
Arezzo sits on the Florence-Rome high-speed line with frequent trains, but from the A1 it's reached only via a short connector road: here's how to plan your trip.

Arezzo has one of Tuscany's busiest railway stations, with around 4 million passengers a year: it sits on both the historic Florence-Rome line and the high-speed Direttissima, with Frecciarossa and regional trains connecting it directly to Florence, Rome, Perugia and other major cities. The historic centre is a few minutes' walk from the station.
By car, the A1 Milan-Naples motorway skirts Arezzo but has no dedicated exit: the city centre is reached via a short connector road, the SS679 Arezzo-Battifolle, which branches off the motorway.
Arezzo has no airport of its own: the most practical reference remains Florence Airport, with Perugia-San Francesco d'Assisi Airport as a closer alternative towards Umbria.
