Trani has a railway station on the Adriatic line running from Bologna to Lecce, served by both Trenitalia intercity and regional trains. From Bari Centrale the journey takes just 30-40 minutes on regional trains departing every 20-30 minutes throughout the day. From Roma Termini you can reach Trani in about 4 hours by taking a Frecciarossa to Bari and then a regional connection. From Milano Centrale the journey takes approximately 6-7 hours with a change in Bari.

Trani station is strategically located, just a few minutes' walk from the tourist harbour and the famous Romanesque cathedral by the sea. Exiting the station, simply walk along Corso Vittorio Emanuele to reach the old town in less than 10 minutes.
