The editorial team
Who runs Mete Nascoste, and how.
Mete Nascoste is an editorial project devoted to undertourism: little-known destinations, small villages and minor places to discover far from the crowds. The guides are curated by a small editorial team, with the aim of telling the story of real places with respect, without turning them into the next tourist hotspot.
Our method
We check the key information (what, where, when to go) and correct any errors reported to us. For every destination we give a crowding index and the best months to avoid it, and we suggest the little-known alternative to the most overrun destinations. Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons, always with attribution to the author and the licence.
We use AI-assisted editorial tools to write and update the guides, always under the editorial team's supervision, which verifies the practical information before publishing.
We're the first to know that no guide is perfect: if you spot an inaccuracy or know a place worth visiting, write to us — or subscribe to the newsletter to receive new destinations.
Do you know a place better than we do? You can write with us: real byline, photo, link to your site. Find out how on Work with us.
Who writes the guides

Giulia Conti
Itinerari pratici e mete internazionali
