We tell the story of the places mass tourism has forgotten — before it remembers them.
Mete Nascoste was born from a simple idea: the most beautiful places are almost never the most photographed ones. While a handful of iconic destinations collapse under the weight of overtourism, entire regions stay empty, authentic and accessible.
That's where we go. Villages of just a few souls, roadless valleys, provincial towns forgotten by the guidebooks. Not out of snobbery, but because we believe the best trip is the one that leaves something behind in the place it visits — and doesn't ruin it.
Every guide we publish follows three principles:
1. Redistribute. Send travellers where tourism is truly needed, not where there's already too much.
2. Respect. Tell the story without creating the next tourist hotspot.
3. Slow down. Fewer stops, more time, slow travel, spending locally.
