Practical tips

  • A car is the most convenient option: public transport is limited and requires changes
  • The pedestrian bridge to Civita is the only access: you cannot drive to the village
  • The entry ticket (5 euros) is bought at the belvedere in Bagnoregio, before the bridge
  • On spring and summer weekends the car park fills by 10 am
  • In winter check that Civita's restaurants are open before setting off
  • Combine the visit with Orvieto (30 min) or Lake Bolsena (20 min) for a full day
