Orbetello-Monte Argentario station lies on the Tyrrhenian line, with regional connections linking it to Grosseto to the north and the Lazio Maremma to the south. The station is, however, set back from the walled historic centre, which sits on the lagoon isthmus: from there it's best to continue by bus or taxi for the final stretch.
By car, the main reference is the SS1 Via Aurelia, which runs along the Tuscan coast connecting Orbetello to both Grosseto (north) and the border with Lazio (south); the SS74 Maremmana provides an alternative route inland.
Orbetello has no nearby reference airport: the closest with scheduled flights is Rome Fiumicino Airport, reachable heading south along the Aurelia, while to the north lies the small Grosseto airport, used for charter and general aviation flights.
