How to get to Caserta

Caserta is known worldwide for its Royal Palace, the "Versailles of Italy," an 18th-century Bourbon masterpiece with its immense park and scenic cascades. But the city offers much more: the medieval village of Casertavecchia, the Carolino Aqueduct and a strategic position that makes it the gateway to inland Campania. Getting there is straightforward thanks to its location on the Rome-Naples corridor.

Getting to Caserta by train

Caserta station is an important railway hub on both the high-speed and conventional Rome-Naples lines.

To visit the Royal Park in its entirety, allow at least half a day and wear comfortable shoes. The combination of Royal Palace + Casertavecchia + San Leucio requires a full day and transport.
